Kumar Kali Das Memorial College ( KKM College) Pakur is the premier institution of Pakur, providing the education up to degree level, in this minority and tribal dominated district of Jharkhand, India.
The college was established in the year 1965. It got affiliated under Bhagalpur University in 1971. It was declare Grants in Aid College by Bhagalpur University. On 12.12.1980 by the order of Bihar Govt., the college became a constituent unit of Bhagalpur University.
Now the college is accrediated with Grade 'B' by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council)
Beside the academic activities, sports, cultural programmes, parent- teachers meeting and educational excursions etc. are the integral part of the college curriculum.
The faculty members of the college are doing their level best to shape the career of the students along with their all round development, so that they can serve the nation in a proper way.
Pakur being the socially and educationally backward districts in India, the college imparting intermediate to bachelor level degrees in Arts &Science. Apart from the BA and B.Sc., the college is running 4 self financed courses like B.Ed. and B. Lib and Information Science. Beside the regular courses the college has the centers of IGNOU & NOU which is providing the PG as well as several professional courses.
The college is divided in to five blocks and having a big lush green campus of 15.2 Acres.
Although it is located in the remote and the educationally backward area, the students have the potential to excel; our students are serving throughout the nation in different positions. I do hope that this college will prove itself a mile stone in imparting quality education in this backward part of the globe.
